Paris Day 1

I spent the day at the French historic monuments research lab. We got a tour of the lab and talked with some researchers. My favorite part was the stone library where they have samples from every French quarry as well as marble samples form cathedrals, palaces, and chateaus. We also had a long day of meetings talking about differences and similarities of concrete conservation in the UK, US, and France. 

They also had samples of historic concrete including that reinforced with animal bones.
