On Sunday we headed to the desert botanical garden to see some cacti and butterflies. It was a really cool place. I think the kids had fun but Nick and I really enjoyed ourselves. We all learned something and we saw some wildlife including a whiptail lizard, a round tailed ground squirrel, woodpeckers, grasshoppers, and a round beaked wren.
Sunday evening we headed to Mesa to see the Cubs take on the Royals in a game. Cubs lost. Calvin also lost...he dropped his glove into the toilet of a port-o-potty. But we were able to find him a replacement. Nick was the winner though with meeting two hall of gamer Cubs and getting their autographs!
