Commence holiday baking

The kids were off school (observation of Veterans Day) and so after a delicious “special breakfast” the kids decided they wanted to bake cookies...and muffins.

Since it’s below 80 degrees for the first time in a while during the day it seemed like a good day to bake. So we made:
1) pumpkin bread (which we gave away to Calvin’s teacher...not bribery but a thank you for hosting a Halloween party)
2) pumpkin muffins in three sizes: mini, normal, and “oops mommy, too much batter went in and the cup is full!”.
3) cookies with chocolate and pumpkin spice chips

Ellie and Calvin helped. Ellie showed off her skills as a baker cracking eggs like a pro, filling the muffin tin, and laying dough on the baking sheets. Calvin helped dump dry ingredients in the bowls and helped stir. He also tried to put dough on the sheet too...but apparently I️ didn’t mention spacing them out or he didn’t listen.
