My first honor band

Tonight was the PUSD elementary school music festival. There were three groups that performed: beginning strings, advanced orchestra, and honor band. There were over 150 fourth and fifth graders involved representing all the PUSD elementary schools. Over 100 were strings. 

The honor band was mostly made up of fifth graders, but there were a few fourth graders on stage including Ellie and her best friend, Ishbel. One had to be invited by their music teacher to participate. 

Unfortunately my chosen seat didn’t mesh well with where Ellie sat and I could see the lower half of her body and every once in a while her hair. But it was fun and Ellie had a great time. She was very excited to be involved.
