My mommy

I asked Calvin some questions. His responses are interesting, but not in the preschooler silly and not knowing way. 

How old is mommy? 36

When does mommy look pretty? When she got married.

When does mommy laugh? When she drops me off at school.

What is mommy really good at? Building

When I’m at school what is mommy doing? Building

What is your favorite thing to do with mommy? Building

What is the best thing mommy cooks? Eggs

If you were to buy mommy a gift, what would it be? A present.

What do you love mommy more than? Ellie! (As his sister is sitting next to him and he laughs at her...)

Open House

Tonight was Open House at Webster. We mingled with her teacher. Saw her school work. And we went down to the 4th grade classrooms and met those teachers. There was also a bookfair and Hot Dog on a Stick for dinner.

The number game

It all started over the weekend when Calvin asked if he could draw on my “work paper” while riding in the car. I gave him a clipboard, calc pad, and a pen. He proceeded to work on his masterpiece in the backseat. When we got to our destination he showed me what he had been working on...writing a number in every square of the paper. He didn’t finish over the weekend but he has proceeded to work on his number writing every time he has been in the car. I’m just glad that he had the 4x4 grid paper as opposed to my preferred 5x5 grid.

Big Boy Bed

Calvin’s Big Boy Bed arrived today!!! He was so excited for his big bed and all the shelves and cabinets...especially the super deep cabinet that has become a hiding spot for him and his sister. 

Over the weekend he picked out Cars sheets (Pixar movie Cars). He has been super excited about the bed since we picked it out several weeks ago. 

The real question is whether he will sleep in it all night or still get up and come crawl into my bed.
