Happy (early) Anniversary to me!

Nick takes off for Chicago today for the weekend to see some more Cubs games. Our 11th wedding anniversary is Saturday. I'll be in CA with two kiddos after my first full week back to work while Nick is in Chicago having fun with college buddies and crashing at their apartments in the city. Yeah, there was a little pressure on him gift-wise.

And he did not disappoint!







He finished and hung up one of the original windows from the house that we replaced last year. I had wanted to do this since the minute the windows came out. And he took it a step further into awesomeness and put up some family photos. Such a great surprise and so amazing.

Today at school Ellie showed me her writing booklet where she has been writing some sentences phonetically including, "we are going on the Ferris wheel, big dragon, and the bumper cars" and "grandma and grandpa are here. It's really fun."







Cal had a split personality at drop off. One moment he was crying and fussy, the next he was smiling, and then he started smiling while crying...
