When I left him he was happily in the middle of the mat chewing on the elephant. Only a few minutes later was he almost off the mat. But dude, you're going the wrong way!
Today we also had the quietest car ride to school ever. Usually Ellie is a little chatterbox or is complaining about her shoes. And usually Cal chime in with some of his own fine wisdom. Sometimes there is yelling or tears.
Today it was silent.
The morning was hectic and crazy and shoes didn't fit and I wasn't supposed to make her a lunch today and Cal wanted to not be in his car seat...usual stuff. And I tried and experiment. Instead of putting on NPR I put on the classical music radio station. I'd like to think that both my children were so enraptured by Beethoven's piano Concerto #25 in G that they were silent. I was.
