Calvin took 5 eggs stuffed with non-food items to school. Parents hid them on the playground and then the kids were turned loose. Once a kid had found 5 eggs they sat down and got to go through their loot. Calvin had a blast. They also made pancakes in school.
Ellie's class had more of a egg race. 300 eggs were strewn on the schools front lawn and the kids were set loose on them. It was a free for all. (Shoutout of thanks to the mom who bought and stuffed all the eggs and bought baskets for all the kids! #notme). Her teacher had sent home a secret note telling the parents the plan. Ellie had convinced herself that the note was secret because second graders can't keep a secret and it was that they were going to hide eggs for the kindergarteners. Ha!
Photos from the mom who stuffed all the eggs (big smiles from everyone!)

Also, Ellie has become obsessed with Helen Keller and reading her biography. She currently has 5 biographies of her that she is reading.
