Happy 39th Nick!!

The kids made him his cake (following the recipe with only minor help from me) and decorated it this afternoon. I like the innovation of adding various toppings besides frosting and sprinkles. The kids added strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, and Nicks favorite, gummy bears. 

It wasn’t his only (or first) cake of the day as his birthday was celebrated bright and early (and on air) at work. (I got a text from a work colleague...a contractor...telling me to wish Nick a happy birthday because he saw it on KTLA)

And Nick probably is happiest about his birthday present...our 11-year old TV finally has reached the end of its service life and he is more than excited to buy a new, and bigger, TV.
