But is it a good story?

Calvin’s eye looked worse for the wear this morning. So after a call to the doctor, she decided she wanted to see him in person. She confirmed it wasn’t anything bad (no fracture or concussion) but said the bruising could stick around for a while. 

Calvin also had a call with his class and he had to show off his shiner. He also took them on a field trip to show them where it happened. 

And he drew a picture about it. 

The silver lining...he got to chat it up with another person. A real, 3-D person that he didn’t live with. Who asked him questions and listened to his answers. Calvin got to be his full extroverted self with the doctor and talked himself into getting a lollipop!
