A daily dose of Ellie, Calvin, or both!

But is it a good story?

Calvin’s eye looked worse for the wear this morning. So after a call to the doctor, she decided she wanted to see him in person. She confirmed it wasn’t anything bad (no fracture or concussion) but said the bruising could stick around for a while.

Calvin also had a call with his class and he had to show off his shiner. He also took them on a field trip to show them where it happened.

And he drew a picture about it.

The silver lining...he got to chat it up with another person. A real, 3-D person that he didn’t live with. Who asked him questions and listened to his answers. Calvin got to be his full extroverted self with the doctor and talked himself into getting a lollipop!

Bad boo-boo

Calvin fell and hit his face on a concrete step. It’s not pretty and he’s gonna have a black eye. It’s currently swollen and red. We are monitoring it but he could read with only the eye by the cheek he hit, he could do addition and subtraction and remember facts he knew. So I don’t think it’s anything too serious, but we will watch it. He’s worried about how he will look with a black eye now, which is better than when he came crying in the house worried his eye would fall out...

Emmett is weird

So, our cat is weird. He can open every door in the house, except the exterior ones. And he insists on tucking himself into bed to nap. He has to have covers when he sleeps.

Caught NickySmooth playing poker via a zoom call with his buddies. This is the typical Friday night plans for him, also know as Covid Cards.

Nicks 40th Birthday Week Day 3

College. While I wish more photos existed of that time in our lives, I’m also grateful that smart phones and digital camera weren’t around to document it.
