Butterflies

So remember a while back when we got caterpillars? Well now the caterpillars have become butterflies (well, 3/5 of them survived to butterfly-hood). They all emerged from their cocoons over the weekend. We will release them into the garden on a warm day when it isn't raining.









Last night Cal slept quite a bit (as opposed to the night before). However, as a nursing mom I was awakened by engorged breasts. It was very painful. And Cal wasn't in the mood to eat, although he had a small snack. So lucky me got to pump at 3am! But Cal and I both got a great nights sleep, mostly.

This morning he was a little fussy but Ellie again read to him (The Mitten) and he seemed to really enjoy that. She did read most of it sounding out words she didn't recognize.
