One month old

Today Cal is one month old. Time has gone by fast, but it's been a blast getting to know him. The ride has been very smooth as he is a pretty chill kid and we got to know each other pretty fast. I quickly learned that his gasiness makes him the most fussy and he likes to be swaddled (his sister didn't). He and I have done quite a bit together, going to a movie and shopping, hanging out with friends and going in play dates. He is a great eater, and my second time around confidence has made things pretty low stress. Plus he eats fast, he is done eating in 15 min max ( that's a long feeding). Whereas, what I hear from other moms of similarity aged kids, their feedings take 40-60 min on average!

This morning our timing was off. His feeding schedule threw off the morning, as did his peeing on the changing table, and the large poopy diaper immediately after I had finished dressing him...Ellie overslept. She dilly daddled at breakfast...and so she got to school a couple minutes late. And I didn't get a picture of her with her Easter basket and 5 plastic eggs filled with scratch and sniff (chocolate scented) stickers for the egg hunt tomorrow (note that the post will be delayed tomorrow so I can include photos from the hunt). So enjoy another photo of Cal in what I call his frat boy onesie. Blue and white stripped and a collar. Really they make onesies with collars and buttons and front pockets. Not as weird as the shorts I got him that have real pockets. What does a 3-month old put in his pockets? Why would he need real pockets?
