Recap 1: Christmas Eve and Christmas
On Saturday, only hours after susie and Matt  arrived we headed to see the Lythgoe Family Panto, Beauty and the Beast; A Christmas Rose. But once that was over we started getting ready for Christmas. Christmas Eve and Christmas were at our house.
On Christmas Eve there was chaos including broken fridges, locked out of the guesthouse (and the aftermath of someone tryin to help by picking the lock with a twig), and retrieving a launched rocket from the neighbors roof. But we did get twinkly lights put up in the backyard.
Christmas Eve started with some cookie decorating and then Thai food. Followed by what seemed like endless unwrapping of presents. The kids were exhausted and so excited about everything.
Ellie wrote a mystery for Grandpa Mike. And Cal wrote a note to Santa in hopes of some good presents.
Christmas morning was full of more gifts and fried mush. Ellie was excited about her American Girl stuff and the glowing soccer ball. Calvin was happy to get baseball bases and a volleyball. Santa also found Ellie’s favorite soda from our trip to Austria!
Then we hosted family and friends, including Jim’s GF and her family, in our backyard (under twinkle lights) for Santa Maria BBQ.
