The kids were invited to go ice skating with friends in Old Town. It was Calvin’s first time on ice skates and he did well. Ellie was skating circles, literally, around most of the people in the group. Our friend (the father of the kids) played hockey when growing up on the east coast so he and Nick had a good time skating and teaching the kids together.
Goodbyes.
Ellie was a wreck when it came time to say good bye to Susie. But we got a few smiles for pictures before the tears.
Instead of tears, Calvin chose to mope by hiding in the corner of the living room.
