7.1

We all felt the 7.1 quake in Pasadena on Friday night. The kids had just gone to bed and then it hit. Calvin has had trouble sleeping and will not allow himself to be alone since the quake. He has to be within arms length of people at all times now. I was hoping that school would have helped him recenter, but no. They had a earthquake drill and talked about quakes all day. He is back to his questions, “if there was a quake now where would we go?” And “could a bigger one happen?”. 

Ellie was upset and stressed for about 24-36 hours but she has since calmed down. Although she’s insisting on reading books about kids surviving disasters (check out the I Survived book series ..).

In other news, Ellie has purple hair.
