Now that it’s getting darker earlier, Ellie’s goalie practice has moved to another field with better lights. Yesterday was the first practice at the new field. However, when we got there, the Monrovia HS marching band was having practice. It soon became clear that we were going to have to share the field. Fortunately for goalie practice they only need a goal and an end zone, so not much space.
It definitely was odd to watch my jock child share a field with a marching band, that was pretty good. Ellie actually was very excited and interested in the band. Watching the band brought back a lot of Thursday night field practices...but we never had to share the field with jocks.
